It is interesting how many people will choose to not serve God because they are too busy observing supposed Christians, a.k.a. Christians in name only. They see their hypocritical behavior and contrary-to-the-Bible speech and conduct and write them off as "hypocrites", all the while dismissing the claims of Christianity because Jesus' supposed followers don't have it together.
Please understand that Jesus Christ never said, "Follow those who claim to believe in Me." He said, "Follow Me!"
It doesn't matter if the entire world is hostile toward God, opposed to Christianity, talks the Christian talk while there is no or little evidence of a transformed life in their "walk" with God...you will not answer to God over how other people lived who said they were saved. You will only answer to God for how you lived, for what you believed, and if your beliefs/morals/speech/and lifestyle lined up with the truth of God's word. Keep in mind that God never said He is expecting blind faith, nor did He ask us to cross our fingers and place our faith in something we are hoping is true...there is substantial evidence for the claims of Christianity, the validity of the Bible, and the historical and archeological reliability of Jesus Christ's existence, life, ministry, death, and resurrection and it is our job to study and see whether these things are so. As I have mentioned in previous blog entries, there are people with doctorates and double doctorates who believe in the reliability and validity of the Bible who could easily be making more money doing something else as a career, yet they have chosen to teach the word of God because there is actually depth to the claims of the Bible...and contrary to popular belief, being a real Christian should not be measured by our feelings or "experience of God", it should be based upon facts and evidence.
Please feel free to write if you have any questions about Christianity, would like a list of books that offer historical and archeological proof for the validity of the Bible being God's word and historically accurate, or would like to know how to grow as a Christian: EmmaJoyBlog@gmail.com
There is nothing more important than your eternal salvation!
