What Will Our Daily Choices Result In?

Purity vs. Impurity

A Christ-exalting life vs. a Self-exalting life

A thought life that takes Philippians 4: 8 into account vs. thoughts that are rampant with what we please

Trusting in God for everything vs. seeking to be our own master and take matters into our own hands

Pursuing God vs. pursuing the longings of our hearts at any turn

Resting in God vs. worrying or being filled with anxiety and fear

Surrender to God vs. holding back important aspects of our lives from Him

Being content vs. complaining about everything

Humility vs. pride

Seeking counsel vs. carrying hurts and issues we can't deal with on our own

...and the list goes on.

We all have so many choices to make day by day.  Where are your choices leading you?  Where will you be five days from now?  Two months?  Ten years?

God's trustworthy word (our only hope and perfect guide):

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3: 5-6

"The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."  Proverbs 16: 9

"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel."  Proverbs 12: 15

"He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."  Proverbs 13: 20

"A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless."  Proverbs 14: 16

"He who neglects discipline despises himself, but he who listens to reproof acquires understanding."  Proverbs 15: 32

"Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs, rather than a fool in his folly."  Proverbs 17: 12
