God is a faithful, loving, good, and praiseworthy Savior who hears our prayers and will answer in the best way. God is aware of everything we are going through in life, He sees what is happening at work, in that relationship, with your family, your fears over the future, any anxiety that keeps you awake at night, concern about your appearance, etc.
Why do we seem to trust God more with our eternal salvation than our day to day lives and even the smallest issues in life?
The Bible makes it clear that God is trustworthy and for us. He is NOT a vindictive tyrant, a cruel Being, or a distant Creator who doesn't care. Psalm 139: 1-3 is beautiful! This is God's heart for you...not the bombarding, defeating, hurtful, and mean putdowns you rehearse again and again in your mind.
"O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways." Psalm 139: 1-3
"For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them." Psalm 139: 13-16
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3: 5-6
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?" Romans 8: 31
